Civil War Timeline.

The 2012 organizational meeting of the Council of the Village of Chagrin Falls was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mr. Patton.

Marlene Anielski, State Representative for Chagrin Falls, swore in Mayor Brick and all Council members.  

ROLL CALL AND ACTION CONCERNING ABSENTEES

ELECTION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT

Mayor Brick opened nominations for Council President.  Moved by Mrs. Evans, seconded by Mr. Chess that Mr. Patton serve as Council President.  Carried.  Ayes: Chess, Evans, Holdren, Lutz, Newell, Subel.  Abstain: Patton.  Nays: None.  Moved by Mrs. Evans, seconded by Mr. Chess that the nominations for Council President be closed.  Carried.  Ayes: Chess, Evans, Holdren, Lutz, Newell, Subel.  Abstain: Patton.  Nays: None.

ELECTION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT PRO TEM

Mayor Brick opened nominations for Council President Pro Tem.  Moved by Mr. Newell, seconded by Mrs. Lutz that Mrs. Evans serve as Council President Pro Tem.  Carried.  Ayes: Chess, Holdren, Lutz, Newell, Patton, Subel.  Abstain: Evans.  Nays: None.  Moved by Mr. Newell, seconded by Mrs Lutz that the nominations for Council President Pro Tem be closed.  Carried.  Ayes: Chess, Holdren, Lutz, Newell, Patton, Subel.  Abstain: Evans.  Nays: None.
  
ELECTION OF COUNCIL’S PLANNING AND ZONING REPRESENTATIVE

Mr. Patton opened nominations for Council’s Planning and Zoning Representative.  Moved by  Mrs. Evans, seconded by Mrs. Lutz that Mr. Chess serve as Council’s Planning and Zoning Representative.  Carried.  Ayes: Evans, Holdren, Lutz, Newell, Patton, Subel.  Abstain: Chess.  Nays: None.  Moved by Mrs. Evans, seconded by Mrs. Lutz that the nominations for Council’s Planning and Zoning Representative be closed.  Carried.  Ayes: Evans, Holdren, Lutz, Newell, Patton, Subel.  Abstain: Chess.  Nays: None.  

ELECTION OF COUNCIL’S BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS REPRESENTATIVE

Mr. Patton opened nominations for Council’s Board of Zoning Appeals Representative.  Moved by Mrs. Evans, seconded by Mrs. Lutz that Mr. Holdren serve as Council’s Board of Zoning Appeals Representative.  Carried.  Ayes: Chess, Evans, Lutz, Newell, Patton, Subel.  Abstain: Holdren.  Nays: None.  Moved by Mrs. Evans, seconded by Mrs. Lutz that the nominations for Council’s Board of Zoning Appeals Representative be closed.  Carried.  Ayes:  Chess, Evans, Lutz, Newell, Patton, Subel.  Abstain: Holdren.  Nays: None.

Mr. Patton said the Council committee representatives will remain the same as 2011 with the following exceptions:
