VILLAGE OF CHAGRIN FALLS
STREETS AND SIDEWALKS COMMITTEE

The meeting was called to order at 6:45 p.m. by Chairman Janis Evans.

PARKING ON RIVER STREET AND WEST STREET

Mr. Himes reported that he discussed the status of the upper and lower decks of the parking garage at 33 River Street and Joe Saccone advised him that it is under lease by Jeckyll’s restaurant for five more years. Mr. Saccone is working with Paul Seegott to make some parking in Coach House Square available to the Chagrin Valley Little Theater. Regarding handicap accessible parking in the vicinity of the Little Theater, Mr. Himes reported that it may be possible to convert one standard space to an accessible space. The Village Engineer will investigate the potential and advise the committee.

PARKING METERS - SOUTH MAIN STREET

Mr. Himes reported that Council has legislation on its agenda this evening to amend the traffic control map to change the five metered parking spaces on South Main Street to two hour parking without meters. The committee discussed the issue and decided that the parking meters will remain in all of the parking meter areas outside the downtown district established in 2006.
