The meeting was called to order at 6:45 p.m. by Chairman Steven Patton.

2011 UTILITY RATES

The Committee discussed and reviewed an overview of the situation, the water fund balance, capital improvements, and Cleveland water. Mr. Himes recommends a water rate increase of 12% from $5.52 per 100 cubic feet to $6.18 per 100 cubic feet effective on the January 1, 2011 bill. He also recommends a 10% sewer rate increase from $5.35 per 100 cubic feet to $5.88 per 100 cubic feet.
Moved by Mr. Patton, seconded by Mr. Williams that we recommend the passing of the January 1, 2011 rate increases. The motion carried unanimously.

Mrs. Evans suggested they send notices to all water users now so that they are aware of the January 1, 2011 increases.

The meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
