The meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m. by Chairman Janis Evans.

PAVEMENT REPAIR PROGRAM

Mr. Himes explained that bids were opened June 30th for the scaled-down road program for this year. It will include repair and resurfacing of South Main Street and Ridgewood Road and then some minor repairs and crack sealing on North Main Street, Stanridge, Lyndale, and Timber Ridge. Out of six bids the low bidder was Burton Scot at $192,847. The high bid was $268,275 and the opinion of probable construction cost was $215,000.

Moved by Mr. Subel, seconded by Mrs. Lutz that we recommend to Council that they approve this contract. The motion carried unanimously.

JULY 4TH CAR SHOW

Mrs. Evans said she received suggestions from the Parks Commission. She said she will pass them on to the Chamber of Commerce.

FIRST THURSDAYS CHAGRIN FALLS - STROLL, DINE, & SHOP

Mayor Brick explained the event proposed by Your Home Town Chagrin Falls that is to help stimulate businesses. The request particularly is to relax the code to allow signage and/or merchandise in front of the places of businesses.

No action was taken.
